So I spent mon-fri with my grandma, some rough patches, some hilarious moments & good time hanging out with Aunt & Uncles I rarely get to spend time with. Durring all this I designed & thought I would finish, a small towel. Ha! I'm at his house now & have a feeling I will be stating up quite late to try and finish it. Wish me luck.

Of course I have decided to share the pattern with you. Since I wasn't sure ahead of time, I made two different sizes. I have a wash cloth & a large washcloth. Of course that is if you use it as a knit/crochet pattern.

Oh & since it's for my dad, it had to be Doctor Who themed. Hello Sexy!

Enjoy!

My 90+ yr old grandma has Alzheimer's. My dad's cousin usually stays with her for half the week, but she went on vacation. So the other day I left the city & headed off to my home town in NE Ohio. If you have never spent time here, It should be it's own state. It has different weather, different culture & of course there are the Browns & Indians fans. I live a couple miles from Ohio State, but nothing compares to NE Ohio sports fans.

So besides that, there are a lot more Cardinals (our state bird) here. My grandma has a great window next to the kitchen table. Everyone eats facing the window & we watch the birds at the feeders. Right now she has a group of cardinals that have some kind of genetic glitch & the colors are so strange. Every one is different, but they are more grey with red highlights. It's very interesting.

(Cardinals not in pic, only 1/4 of the window)

So in honor of our new genetically freakish friends, all those hours I've spent with my grandparents bird watching, and the fact that grandma slept long enough for me to write & chart these: I have created some Cardinal stitch patterns for you!

Enjoy!

I have already stated that I am a huge SciFi nerd, this is an inherent personality trait of mine. I also have a bit of an obsessive personality, so I tend to watch the same shows over and over. I'm not saying there aren't shows I just watch to fill in the gaps (I am always watching something while working on art/fiber), but when I like a show there is a good chance that I will be able to quote lines without realizing it, follow at least a couple actors on twitter and get at least a few people to drink the nano virus laced kool-aid. Some people would call me a teleFANgalist. I just think I'm a straight out nerd.

One show none of my real life friends will even touch is Supernatural. My old roommate used to request turning the sound off so she could just "watch the pretty boy run around".

In honor of my goofy love of pie, bad jokes, Cas, and Jenson; I bring you a large washcloth pattern that will keep you from getting possessed by some black eyed bitch.

Enjoy!

My friend Paul started this thing called "Doodle Tuesday", where no matter how good or bad of an artist you are you doodle, then post it to your friends. Although this is not technically a pencil scketch or anything, I sketched out a cute little Sloth pattern. Yes, I did indeed decide to share it with you, enjoy!

A couple days ago it was in the 80's, and now it's down right hoodie weather, I love fall. With thunderstorms & long sleeves without freezing. Great time.

So today's pattern is one I find hilarious, because I'm a boring. It's ancient Egyptian for "smelly". Enjoy!

I was organizing my files last night & found this beauty. Who can say no to The King?

I have a DMC color chart for those cross stitches out there today, and plain marks without color in case you want to pick your own.

Have a good Sunday!

Today it was quite hot, I'm broke & I needed to get out of the house. Usually going to buy groceries is about as exciting as my life gets, so bare with my over excitement.

I happened to be on Facebook while internally whining about the heat, when I was reminded the Art Museum was free on Sundays. So I "jumped" up & out to that large air conditioned fantasy land, which just happens to be pretty much on the campus of my College Alma Mater.

There are some renovations going on so I knew there would be at least some change to the artwork, but it didn't really matter because there is a big jigsaw puzzle of a watercolor in the third gallery I walked through....and that's where I stayed till closing. I must say it was very interesting to hear people have insanely different ideas about the simplest of imagery. They also tend to see things through 2013 eyes & don't seem to account for cultural context. But hey, I have an art degree, I'm sure I make English majors squirm with my horrible run on sentences.

I didn't finish the puzzle because the museum closed.

I needed a new place to escape to. My mom gave me a Starbucks gift card for my birthday, and I knew a part of town where the ambiance would not give me a headache. Off I went.

I ordered my frozen drink & rice crispy treat (everything else had gluten in it). The girl tripped & my rice crispy treat, turns out the last one, took a dirt dive. During my shell shock I was handed a drink, turns out not my drink. I was disoriented to say the least. They found me a packaged nut bar to eat & let me keep the accidental drink & my chocolate frozen thing. Did I mention I have anxiety? I had no idea what was happening.

I eventually calmed down, and froze into a Mōlcicle because of the arctic air conditioning. My main objective had been achieved & my life enriched.

In memory of my trip to Starbucks, I decided to share my "To Go" coffee cup- washcloth pattern.

Have a good Monday!

When I first got my patterning program I made a lot of crazy graphs of my artwork & random patterns & things. Eventually I finally found something to chart, and of course I picked something huge.

I found this sketch of what I believe is a Swiss runestone. Funny enough I haven't been able to find where I got the image, thanks to my late night image searching binge I did not record the website.

It doesn't have a border, but would make a nice big afghan or maybe a cross stitch picture.

I found out how to make my files smaller & decided to make a large print version since it is such a large pattern. One has color seperation (horrible colors), and one just outline so you can fill in your own.

Hope you enjoy!
